Citronella essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the fresh and partially dried leaves. It blends well with Bergamot, Geranium, Lemon, Orange and Cedarwood and is often used as an insect repellent.

Commonly used in candles, soaps, home fragrance and aromatherapy products.

Recommended Usage:

Candles: 3–10% of fragrance load

Soaps: 0.5–2% of total formulation

Room sprays / diffusers: 0.5–3%
